Adding a CMS Region
GO TO
ADMINISTRATION BILLING SETUP → SELECT CMS REGION
STEPS
- Select CMS Region from the dropdown, click SET
NOTES
- Your CMS region is responsible for determining where your Medicare claims are routed
- Your CMS region assigns your fiscal intermediary, which is the insurance company that process Medicare claims in your area
- The CMS region sets the Medicare fee schedule based on geographic region
- Medicare fees within the WRS system are based upon your CMS region
