The MIPS Quality Measure Benchmark is used to determine decile performance based on the raw data from Quality Measure reports. Always refer to the current Performance Year benchmark file. Performance Year benchmarks can be downloaded from https://ecqi.healthit.gov. See attached for 2023 file.
How to use the MIPS Quality Measure Benchmark to get the Decile Score
1. From the Quality Measure report, get the Performance Rate of each measure.
2. Look up the measure name and ID in the current year's benchmark file to determine the decile range of the Performance Rate for that measure.
*From the example benchmark above, a Performance Rate of 69.21 falls under Decile 6.
The Decile score is then entered in the Measure Calculation file to determine the You Are Here and Max Potential Points for each measure.
