Lab Interface CPT missing
Practice Issue:
They are trying to send a lab order to their lab through the interface, but the lab code for that order is not in the program.
Next Steps:
1. The practice needs to provide WRS with the lab's code for that order.
2. Clinical support checks to make sure the lab code is not in WRS (and therefore not in our compendium)
3a. If the code is in the system, show the practice how to easily find it. Push them to create a Superbill Category and/or Panels for lab orders & provide instructions
3b. If the code is not in the system, have the practice collect other codes that they use that are not in the system. Practice needs to contact their lab representative and copy WRS (if not the WRS interface manager directly, then through a forwarded communication).
4. Lab rep and WRS Interface manager will work together to add the new code to WRS' compendium.
Information needed from the lab:
- The exact order verbiage
- The exact associated CPT code (for mapping purposes)
- The lab internal code assigned to that order
5. WRS Interface manager will email Clinical dept when compendium is updated.
6. Clinical will test to ensure identified codes are now active in the practice. Then reach out to practice to inform of code availability.
7. When reaching out, clinical will push the practice to create/update a Superbill Category and/or Panels for lab orders & provide instructions
