Failed to register with SureScripts error
If the enabling electronic routing (eRx) process results in a Failed to register with SureScripts error, check the following:
Go to https://support.surescripts.net/messages/home. In Search form, input Product with value Directory and search for errors in the last period when subscription was attempted.
Common Error Types:
- Attempting to update the location does not own this prescriber - the SPI on file is associated with another location. Delete the full SPI in the current location enable electronic routing again.
- Fax number is required - add and save a fax number in the Edit Location page
- DEA number not found in DEA registrant database. - DEA number may be missing, incorrect or expired. If the provider has an assigned DEA, it needs to be saved in the resource page.
