EPCS Protocol

EPCS WRS Setup Workflow after EPCS SME and Finance receives completed sign up form. If SME receives the form without Finance copied on the email, SME will forward signed form to Finance.

1 EPCS SME will verify and upload EPCS sign up form in Admin > Resource Management > Provider Name > Provider Documents.

2. Add Practice and Provider Info on the Enrolled sheet.

3. Send 1st email to the provider requesting for scanned copies of medical, DEA and NADEAN (if prescribing opioid dependency treatment with approved buprenorphine medication) licenses. Copy setup@wrshealth.com and clinicalsuport@wrshealth.com.

4. Upon receipt of medical, DEA and NADEAN licenses, go to Admin > Resource Management > Provider Name > Provider Documents > upload files.

5. Document DEA and NADEAN licenses in Admin > Resource Management > Provider Name > Edit Resource Information > General.

6. Update Enrolled tracker.

7. Go to Admin > Resource Management > Provider Name > Permission > Electronic Routing to determine if provider is ECPS enabled. If not yet enabled, send an email to setup@wrshealth.com asking for it to be enabled. Copy clinicalsuport@wrshealth.com.

8. Send EPCS SETUP & REGISTRATION email to client. Copy setup@wrshealth.com, Agnes B., Krisztina E and clinicalsuport@wrshealth.com.

9. Monitor status of client registration and setup by logging in as a provider.

10. Assist providers if they have questions/issues on setting up ECPS.


Monitoring Enrolled Accounts Workflow

1. Review all license expiration dates weekly.

2. Flag licenses that will expire within 3 months of check date AND licenses that have already expired.

2a. Soon to expire license - send EPCS Document Reminder email 1 month before expiry date.

2b. Expired license - send EPCS Document Reminder email monthly.
